Once I Dreamed Comics

I want to turn people’s dreams into comics. These are not dreams as in wishes or hopes, but dreams that people have experienced in their sleep. There must be millions of inspiring, fantastic, frightening, brilliant, funny or crazy imaginings, and I want to be a part of bringing them to life, at least in my own small way. If you have an idea, maybe I can work with it. If you’re looking for “I Used to Think” comics, click here.

Update September 2015: I wrote about the inspiration behind creating Once I Dreamed comics, which includes Medical Tales Retold, Zen Pencils and Deep Dark Fears. I recently learned about Jesse Reklaw’s Slow Wave, which was a strip that did exactly this–it turned readers’ dreams into comics. Despite my research to ensure that this idea was unique, somehow I didn’t find Slow Wave. Well now I have! Jesse’s art is superb. I would like to acknowledge that I am not the first to see this idea through.Since Slow Wave no longer uses readers’ dreams, I’m going to continue with Once I Dreamed. A continuation of the magic that is turning dreams to comics.
