It could happen

Man was a great and worthy beast, populating the planet to 15 billion, at least. But beauty standards rose, and food got shittier...a girl could not find a mate, one could only pity her. So in the end when all was at ease, it was not catastrophe, war or disease, that killed the human race, that wiped them off this planet's face... nay; it was due to a lack of attraction, between man and woman, no reaction. Ahem, said the alien boy, raising his hand to contest. I do not take this ploy, teacher, I must confess. Father says we killed the humans, is it true? Well, said teacher, turning blue. We won, said he, our lasers the humans bit, so this, my child, is how we remember it.
