Poor taste

There once was a family of red wines, With a teenager daughter in love, She got drunk and accumulated fines, So her father donned the proverbial glove. 'You will no longer see that boyfriend of yours,' He said with ultimate authority, But his daughter denounced him in due course, And said she loves him and they'll marry. Her father and mother were struck and sad, But she couldn't have cared less, She turned to her boyfriend, a young fish lad, And they began to make out and kiss. The father, tearful, jerked back and hissed, 'Reds don't pair with trout!' But he knew his daughter was far too pissed, She'd die in an alley, he had no doubt.
