Liver

‘Mrs. Johnson your child is smoking and drinking. He’s only 5, he can’t be doing this. I’m afraid I’ll give your heart a sinking. He needs a liver transplant, for he’s peeing green piss.’ Suddenly the boy killed the nurse and returned. He plopped the nurse’s liver on the Doctor’s desk. Horrified, the doctor felt he knew nothing he’d learned. The boy dragged the cig, unfazed by the grotesque. ‘I’m sorry doctor,’ said Mrs. Johnson after. ‘He is just like that sometimes.’ The doctor reeled back from the boy’s moaning laughter. ‘That’s alright Mrs. Johnson, w-we’ll get to work on his enzymes.

I'm just a liver I know what I want. I need you to suffer, to turned skeleton gaunt. This is the way that we'll hammer through life. You drink hard and I swell, that's our pact in dark strife.
